Sponsors
The Discovery Science Center is back and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our sponsors! With their support, we are able to offer STEM programming, events, and resources to Fairfield County and the surrounding communities.
Sponsors help underwrite Science Center admission discounts, send children to our summer programs, fund after-school enrichment programs, maintain our physical space, and bring new exhibits to the Museum. Corporate partners connect with over 65,000 visitors who interact with the Discovery Science Center each year. We provide a host of opportunities to be recognized here at the Science Center through events, and in our various publications (both in print and digital).

Thank you to all our loyal sponsors for being STEAM ambassadors and helping us provide STEAM Learning Programs to the community. We are inspired by your investment and ongoing impact here at Discovery Science Center.

Community Partners
Discovery’s mission is deeply rooted in our history and presence in Bridgeport and Fairfield County. Our work benefits from joint ventures with a dynamic array of community partners, including:
Incorporated into the Discovery campus in 2008, the Adventure Park shares our mission of increasing children’s self-confidence and urge to explore. Through climbing trails and zip line activities, students overcome challenges in a safe and sustainable environment. The Adventure Park has consistently demonstrated its support for Discovery through fundraisers and with generous donations of climbing passes.
Discovery members receive 15% off admission to climb at the Adventure Park.

A local historical gem, the Barnum Museum is the last surviving building dedicated to Phineas Taylor Barnum. P.T. Barnum loved learning through engaging, and here at Discovery our goal is to inspire the same wonder through interactive STEM learning opportunities.

As another nonprofit with a strong history and responsibility to sustainability in the Bridgeport community, the Beardsley Zoo and Discovery make a great team. We have partnered with Beardsley to bring animals to the Science Center for special event days and for our STEM Summer Programs.

Discovery Magnet School was founded in 2008 and has since become its own flourishing learning environment. We partner with this neighboring school to host an array of unique enrichment opportunities. Students visit the Science Center frequently, and the Discovery Magnet School is our main site for implementation of Discover NASA, a grant-funded program dedicated to the development and implementation of a rocketry curriculum for K-8 classrooms, and a high school-level extracurricular rocketry club.

The Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library is charged with advocacy, fundraising, and programming initiatives to help make Bridgeport libraries thriving community centers of discovery and lifelong learning, as well as to enhance educational and cultural opportunities in the City of Bridgeport. We are proud to partner with the FBPL for many of Discovery’s special event days.
