rocks, rock cycle, mineral

Earth Rocks

In this program, Webelos will be learning about rocks. We will start by talking about the rock cycle and the different types of rocks. Scouts will get a chance to do some mineral testing, and will have an opportunity to try to identify some rocks and minerals on their own.

static, electricity, chemistry, buoyancy

Super Science

In this program, Bears will learn about different science concepts. They will learn about buoyancy and static electricity and conduct investigations about both topics. Scouts will also look at what happens when you try to mix oil and water together.

detective, crime scene investigation, fingerprint, evidence, testing

Forensics

In this program, Bears will help us solve a crime! Utilizing fingerprints, chromatography, and trace evidence testing, scouts will put their investigative minds to the test.

flight, plane, fly

Air of the Wolf

In this program, Wolves will learn about the forces of flight, and the difference between pitch, yaw and roll. They will make two different paper airplanes to test how well they fly, and even make some non-traditional flyers as well.

dinosaur, paleontology, fossil, dig

Digging in the Past

In this program, Wolves will learn about fossils, including how and where they form. Scouts will get a chance to examine some fossils and participate in a fossil dig. They will also use their imaginations to create their own unique dinosaur.

telescope, constellation, stars, planetarium

Sky is the Limit

In this program, Tigers will learn about how telescopes work and make their own. They will learn about constellations and make a constellation viewer to take home. A live planetarium show is included in this program.

buoyancy, float, sink, boat, displacement

Floats and Boats

In this program, Tigers will learn about how buoyancy and displacement work when it comes to objects floating. They will put their knowledge to the test and guess which objects are going to sink or float and create a boat that will float for at least 10 seconds.

plants, recycling, upcycling, food

Ready, Set, Grow

In this program, Lions will learn about where some of their food comes from. They will plant some herb seeds in a recycled container, and then will turn that container into a mini greenhouse.

motion, forces, flight

Gizmo and Gadgets

In this program, Lions will learn about the forces of motion. They will do some experimenting with ramps and cars and test out some forces of flight with paper airplanes.
